The only thing that could make this more Farm Show worthy is if a combine or school bus donated some parts, since it sometimes seems that half the creations began their life as one of those vehicles.

I think I finally know what my Thunderbird's replacement will be.

I'd nominate my parents' '83 Century T-type, except it saw some of my most white-knuckle driving experiences. I.E. expecting it to handle a 35 mph signed curve at 45 since my '73 Cougar could do it.

@Danimal: ND doesn't use salt with reckless abandon like MN does. If you're jalopy-shopping in the Red River Valley it's easy to tell which side of the river a car came from.

I'd forgotten the regrettable instances of the TV trope of "Every Car is a Pinto"... at least the BMW holds out a little while before blowing up. [tvtropes.org]

The police sure seem to like dippy little cars.

I'd hate to have picked that day to eat at that restaurant. Just sitting there, and BAM. Citroen and S8 into the seating area.

@oddfish: I always liked the Futura version myself.

I stopped for a light and was rear-ended by the car behind me who for some reason thought I was going through. One of her passengers started berating me, someone he'd never met, on how I should be more careful because of his disability or whatever. 28 in a 20 that didn't have a sign, on a side street that was being used to detour a main road. I argued that it was an assumed 25 since that's South Dakota state law on unsigned city streets, and got off with a warning. The only speed limit sign on the street was at the very end where the detour ended, for the

@Zeusnemesis: Beautiful collection. I never realized till today how different the Scout and pickup cab actually are. I suppose the door is different to accommodate the removable top, but I'm at a loss for why they couldn't keep the truck curved windshield. #internationalharvester

The 4-seat Thunderbird. Not everyone who wants a big car wants 4 doors. #qotd

@JDisnidiet: It's better than the last "Charger" Omni-based wrong-wheel-drive hatchback. #chrysler
