I had a scar on my hand for the longest time as a kid. At least I didn’t burn my face like my husband did.

80s/90s kid rite of passage

Just out of curiosity, how many of you burned yourself with a car lighter as a kid?

I was a hot drunk mess in my 20s so there are so many stories.

Last year, I decided to treat myself at my favorite local Mexican place, because it had been a hell of a day and my divorce was being finalized and I just... really needed a taco.

Welp, walked two feet into the restaurant, slipped on a tortilla chip. Two years of roller derby training told me to fall directly on my

Me too! My husband and I just thought it would be ok and hopefully funny but we both really, really liked it. The surprise of it made it even better.

While on mushrooms I fell over when someone asked me the time and I tried to look at my watch.

As far as the dining hall thing goes, I’ll cop to eating at my old dorm’s cafeteria every time I come back for homecoming.  It’s a nostalgia thing, for old times when you could walk down a few flights of stairs and have an all you can eat buffet laid out (and soft serve for dessert!)

On the flipside, I once met Werner Herzog at a film festival, and he’s EXACTLY like you’d expect him to be.  It was an amazing experience.

I’m so glad Port’s is still around. I think it opened a few months before i started freshman year, it was very new. Now i’m thinking about cheese fries. I just looked at their website, it looks like a whole other thing now, much fancier. It used to just be counter service and a deck. Geneva has change so much since I

I went back last year (I’m also from Rochester, so I get to go back a little more frequently than most) and we ate at Port’s and basically ordered the entire menu. Still so good. Since you’ve been there so many good little bistro’s and restaurants and bars have popped up to support the wine industry or because the

Same here.

Me too, but that’s probably because I remember her from her time as an actress.  She’s still acting, just a slightly different format.

I’ll do this for you, as a gay myself. Don’t trip over yourself to defend Ellen. She can be a groundbreaking icon who is also not a nice person. You can toss the conspiracies in the trash—they have nothing to do with this conversation and they are derailing the actual content.

So much of her show is dedicated to humiliating her employees and audience, and “pranking” her guests. The lowest forms of humor. I don’t even consider it humor, just meanness.

HAHA!!! We have a “boat casino” type thing by me. My friend and I popped in because I have never been and SAW this EXACT machine.

I watched an episode of something with Ellen as the guest (maybe it was her standup special?) and she was walking through the offices of where the writers and staff for her show work. She crept up behind a woman working at a desk and startled her for laughs; said I’m sorry but also “we’ve never met before” and I think

Even without the stories, just observationally, this is clear (about her). She doesn’t seem like a kind person. Much of her show is dedicated to humiliating her audience in the form of “games”, which has spun off into its own whole prime time show of humiliation “games”. And there’s a reason why her Twitter feed is so

Oh my god I can’t wait until “spirit animal” dies.  So cringeworthy.

I would actually say: don’t.
