I bought a diesel, manual, hatchback last year. It was even almost brown (gray).

I’m the target market for this. I was small truck shopping, I do occasional off roading as well as actual truck stuff like towing trailers and hauling lumber.
My phone came with an app called “file manager” pre-installed. I never looked at it twice, but after this article I looked it up on the app store...full of negative reviews. Whoops!
Since they're putting it in an Escalade...I wonder if it works with a trailer attached.
I love that Tiger Sauce.

I wonder if there will be an AMG version
I’m surprised at the fuel economy numbers. My GMC Canyon 4x4 diesel is averaging 25.5 overall, and I routinely get mid-30s on highway stretches. That’s a larger, heavier vehicle with the added drag of a 4wd transfer case and AT tires. I’m guessing Mazda surrendered some fuel economy to meet their rigorous NVH…
Not even close, as you can see from the photo I posted.
A full size van can’t go off road or carry 5 people in comfort, and a minivan can’t tow 6k lbs. I did both of those things regularly. You can’t throw a load of busted concrete or mulch in the back of a van without getting dirty yourself.
Except we were buying 3/8ths, and that’s under the load capacity. I’ve done this many times.
I ride an e-bike. It’s a pedal assist Cannondale, which means there’s no electric boost unless I’m pedaling.
Wait, they sell that thing in Canada? But not here in the US? Weird.
So now I can’t upgrade my google wi-fi mesh network without putting a bunch of microphones and speakers in my house? No thanks!
Will this be available in the Sierra with it’s trick tailgate?
If Trump doesn’t already think America is great, maybe his family can go back to where they came from. I doubt Germany wants them anymore though.
Comparing Valvoline’s dino oil against two synthetics is kind of a BS move. Of course they’re not comparable.
Happy to see such a variety of “mid-size” truck options now. Full size trucks used to be smaller than this, but I’ll take any downsizing I can get.
It is too heavy IMO. It is so damn hard to close.
Chevy made fun of Ford for that in a TV ad. Now, Chevy has one as well. Because the truck is so damn big you can’t get into it without one.
I stood next to the new Silverado at the LA Auto Show and the hood was very nearly to my shoulders. I mean, why?
