the old guy said he knew his gun was missing but during the flashback it appears the kid brings it back the same night...or did i miss something there?

this is one of those books that should really be listened to. the dialogue for rocky was great 

This book introduces alien and otherwise unknown science to the protagonist, who makes decisions based on their knowledge and scientific assumptions that impact the narrative and create conflict.

This car pops into my head multiple times a week.  Pedestrians love hiding behind my A-pillar and I thought the eye-sensing seat adjustor was cool as hell.

i’ve always been curious about this.  i used to tip so the total bill would be an even number.  now i tip so the tip itself is an even number.  easier math for everyone.  except the one time it worked out so a fair tip resulted in a bill of 69.69.

i like the genre of movies, but yea, john wick sucks and i can’t believe it’s generating a vast franchise empire.  boondock saints and leon provided much more intelligent violence and combat.

How is Maryland’s toll payment system? Some states are awful. Illinois? You have to enter (if you remember) your route and pay the fees for each toll along the route. Essentially, an honor system that penalizes you if you make a mistake. They won’t have your license plate registered until you receive the late fee. Texa

I’ve mostly found this show to be boring, with too many meandering storylines without understanding much of the purpose. This was the best episode, and I think the season would have been much better if some of this weeks reveals had been introduced in the first two episodes of the show.  It’s not really intriguing to

i have this toaster.  it is really not special.  but it looks much better in the kitchen than your average toaster.

Everyone seems to forget the whole point of lockdown related recommendations was to ensure hospitals were not overwhelmed with patients...not to eliminate the spread of the virus.

that’s the crux though, the fake sweetener in these seltzers kills the taste for me.  i’d rather have zero sweetener a la la croix or something.

I can’t speak for this facility, but other refineries in the region were used strategically during wartime efforts to get around blockades. And it sounds like this place has a coker unit which is very useful in processing Venezuelan crude before transiting to US based facilities for further refining.
