Yup I agree. All the good pieces were here, we just have Feig to blame for bad filmmaking.

Duh.
I love Romancing the Stone SO MUCH. Zemeckis’s first real movie! And written by a Hollywood outsider, Diane Thomas. She was in line to be Spielberg’s right-hand woman and work on Indiana Jones when she died in a tragic car accident. What could have been...
Waukeen? Is this a spanish name gone wrong?
I’m not super interested in the “who is secretly an android?” theory. The main story is about the androids achieving consciousness...if this has already been done (or believably so) in a secret staff member then what’s the point?
I think Arnold is at the center of the maze. He didn’t die in an accident - he made it look like he’s dead and he’s been carrying on his work in some hidden corner of the park all along. Not sure if Man in Black knows this or not but who else could incorporate him illegally into the game except a creator gone rogue?
So I am certainly enjoying the show and pondering all the mysteries, big and small. But Rob, can we just relax a bit? Are we really asking a show to start answering all its questions in episode 3? Things are being slowly revealed. The dudes are emerging. I’m along for the ride and enjoying it right now.
My husband and I put two blankets on the bed and it creates marriage harmony. We each get our own blanket to kick off or cocoon in as we please.
I’ve always wanted to go as a sexy slug...maybe I will make that a reality this year.
Damn. DAMN.
Dolores is the Judas Steer. She was talking about it with Teddy. She’s the first - in whatever way (actual or narratively) her perfect acceptance and joy of her situation keeps the other androids in line. If she changes direction...well, we’ll see.
And we all forget how bad Peter Dinklage’s accent and wigs were. They were so bad!
This was one of my bigger questions - wouldn’t every host have a tracking device? Wouldn’t the park managers have cameras everywhere, and dressed-up security guards making sure bad things aren’t happening? I can see giving the guests privacy for their crazy hedonistic fantasies, but I would want to see and hear…
Shopping mall! I was wondering what that huge globe statue was. Makes sense that they took over from an older structure...
But - Teddy shot at him with the in-world guns and it did nothing. Don’t the guns work on robots?
I agree about Ford - I think he’s getting older and has lost faith in humanity (the whole “we’re done” convo) so he sees the robots as the next stage in evolution. We’re done, so it’s the robot’s time and he’s going to set them free. Certainly creating a subconscious is a step towards humanity - I’d argue two things…
Just an excuse to post this.
I love Firefly but damn did it look cheap. Joss Wheedon has complained before about being unable to watch Dr. Who because of the cheap feel of the sets and costumes but I feel the same way about Firefly.
This is why I can never sing recent pop songs at karaoke.
WHY NOT ME
