“practical-effect elitist bullshit”?? I just prefer practical effects over a crapton of CGI. Sorry I have preferences. I never said it makes the movie automatically better, just more enjoyable for me.

I am so getting this. I’ve spent countless hours watching behind the scenes work for movies like Alien, Predator, The Thing (was highly dispapointed to see how much practical effect was done on the new one, yet a lot of CGI was used in the final version), and plenty of newer movies. Thanks for the heads up.
