YMMV, but I found the thing to be an annoying, ‘80s nostalgia circle jerk. If you want to read a story where the main character casually mentions that his in-game vehicle is a flying DeLorean with a Ghostbusters license plate and a light bar like the car from ‘Knight Rider,’ then you might get a chuckle out of it.…

God I want this movie to flop so badly. Fucking hated the book and the movie looks no better, trying to prey on our nostalgia by slipping in tons of pop culture references instead of trying to tell a good story.

Lucky for you there isn’t much of a story to begin with.
