Is there a source that this was canceled as a result of him asking about Elon’s drug use? I’m not doubt it, that’s very much an Elon thing, but I just don’t see that stated anywhere. Unless you have an insider source or something.

Sure, but this is China we’re talking about - losing official ties won’t remove the real ties.

Oh I had no idea Grindr was Chinese, yeah same situation then

Oh I know, just pointing out the hypocrisy (which we all already know about). There are a ton of entities that are spying on us and collecting our data all the time (not just the government), but it’s so important when a company based in China does it that we have to ban them entirely and do nothing to anyone else.

Haha, my point was just that I think he liked the song. Like I said, I don’t know much about music so I don’t know the terminology, but I got the feeling from his video that if he listened to a different version, he’d like most of the same things.

Let’s be honest, TikTok isn’t going away anytime soon. If this passes, they’ll just move ownership to a US-based holding company or something else. No official ties to China but I imagine nothing else will change.

I like the Advent Children version, but he could have listened to one a little closer to the original version, sure. But what he seems to have enjoyed and commented on the most was the composition, most of which would have been the same across multiple versions of the song.

Now playing

I saw this video recently and I thought it was really neat, a composer analyzing One-Winged Angel (the Advent Children version) as he was hearing it the first time:

I really enjoyed Titanfall and Titanfall 2 - partially because of the fun split in pilot/Titan combat mechanics, but also partially because my performance was generally better in these games than in Halo or other shooters. I never figured out if that was because I was better at the game than other games or if the more

If you haven’t been, their “main course” is raw meat (usually pre-cut, pre-seasoned steak, chicken, and/or shrimp) presented alongside the pot of hot liquid (I’m not sure off the top of my head if it’s oil or broth or what). You’re instructed to skewer one piece at a time and let it sit in the liquid until it’s cooked

I went to The Melting Pot a few months ago, it was pretty good, if a bit overpriced for food I had to cook myself while keeping track of time so I didn’t give myself food poisoning.

I feel the need to specify that this isn’t “which grocery deliveries are most popular in every U.S. state”, it’s (according to the source) “which state/province ordered each category more often than any other state/province in its country” (emphasis mine). The article makes this point (and uses the word “unique” in

Yeah I’m seeing that now. I think I got confused by this passage:

Also, I feel confident that in the over 80 years since the chocolate chip cookie was invented, someone (and statistically, probably an American) has already come up with this. It’s not a complicated enough idea to have only been first created in 2022, it’s just that this is the first time it’s been sold and then gotten

Not really - Gosling is getting a lot of (well-deserved) praise here and obviously seeing him perform the song live at such a big event as the Oscars in huge, but I don’t see people saying in two years “I’m going to go see that new Ryan Gosling movie, no idea what it’s about but I loved him in ‘Barbie’ so I gotta

Interesting, I didn’t have that problem at all.

I mean, that was always the goal. They introduced PreCheck to avoid the longer lines they intentionally created, knowing that eventually enough people would pay them enough money for those lines to get longer and longer. Just wait, if they don’t go the route mentioned here, we’ll be seeing TSA PreCheck+ or whatever in

I get mad whenever people talk about how great of a deal TSA PreCheck is, as if the TSA didn’t introduce it solely to let people pay them in order to bypass the mess they created. They want you to do it!

I love Chrono Trigger to death, but I’ve only played maybe an hour of one of the Dragon Quests several years ago. I’ve been meaning to get more into that series.

That’s a really hard question, because there isn’t really a “Mario” game genre. There are games with Mario, but they fall across several genres and I struggle to say that Super Mario World deserves the top spot over Mario Kart 8 Deluxe because the former is a 2D platformer and the latter is a racing game, they’re so
