I should have mentioned i was mostly referring to the article she linked about the large bleaching happening at the great barrier right now. And the rapid increase in worldwide reef bleaching caused by quickly warming…

I agree with your points mostly, the article put raising ocean temps from atmosphere pollution to blame for dying kelp and coral, but you’re pointing towards ocean imbalances as the cause. If numbers in those waters are off, and being how sensitive reefs are, i totally agree our pollution in the ocean could be whats…

??? I never threw out human impact entirely? we definitely influence the planet in some ways, changes in air quality and composition are something you can’t pretend isn’t happening. But why is that to blame for a global change in temperature?

Exactly! it’s possible the human species will go extinct before seeing another reef form.

Well judging from fossilized coral beds, and the earth changing temperature again, it’s likely all those pretty reefs are gonna die off real quick and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
