The problem with that strategy is that you simply cannot reason with the unreasonable. If someone insists on existing in an alternate reality in which facts are completely destabilized, how do you have a meaningful conversation with that person?

Totally off topic, but I’m not sure that I’ve ever read one of your columns before (not that I was intentionally avoiding, I just don’t often pay attention to the by-lines on these articles) - this was a wonderful read.
