The question is if they actually thought it looked like a team president, or if they just wanted to needle Bruce Allen.

Also like, doesn’t the tweet NOT speak for itself in that it brought about all these questions???? Does “speak for itself” have no meaning anymore??? What is words how does language?

Don’t forget criminalizing mental illness too essentially. As someone who has both mental illness and a history of substance abuse, this targets both. Not to mention criminalizing homelessness.

Basically, those “qualities” are narcissism. These are people who are great at superficial charm, which makes for entertaining television, but are absolute nightmares to those who have to be around them when the cameras are off.

I thought Spy was going to be terrible, but I randomly watched it on November 10th because I was in need of a comedy, any comedy and I swear to god, I don’t know if it was because it just felt good to laugh amongst all the existential dread, but there were moments I literally could not breathe from laughing so hard

See it. It’s a really good film. See Goldie and Ingrid Bergman dancing together!

If they’d switched Melissa McCarthy and Leslie Jones’ roles it would have been a hell of a lot better. Having the black woman in the “urban, street-smart” role was too much of a trope and hurt the film.

Goldie, Wanda and Joan have to make movie together.

Ecuador is not what you might expect. It’s actually a beautiful, sophisticated country with a temperate climate (at least when I was there), in spite of being on the equator - probably due to the altitude. It is turning into a retirement haven. Quito, the capital, is beautiful.

Goldie will survive this. When Jane Fonda made her film comeback after her 15 year hiatus, it was in the very mediocre Monster-in-Law (also featuring Wanda Sykes, who stole what there was of that film). Jane’s been working ever since; no harm done.

I always felt like she dodged a bullet. Hot dude clearly wasn’t willing to accept the challenges she had going on in life and she found out before they started something that would have really hurt to end.

There won’t be any Alan Rickman because..... :-( :-(

When you spend all day, every day pretending to be something, then there probably isn’t anything left of who you really are anyway. And that’s sad as fuck.

Hot take.

Hamilton has proven that white people would be willing to see your production. I think it’s a great idea.

Like, I just watched Sarah Huckabee Sanders talk and let me tell you, if that was poetry, it was some pretty fucked up high school English class poetry.

“There’s money in faux wokeness now, so long as you can sell it to white audiences. (Think of the early work of W. Kamau Bell.”
For this sentence alone, I’d kiss you if were standing next to me. Glad to read I’m not the only one who noticed something off about this comedian.

I loved the show. It’s definitely stronger than the movie, but that’s because it has more time to flesh out the characters. In fact, I’d expect a second season to at least improve on all the criticisms laid out here. It definitely seems like it’s setting itself up for a deeper look into Sam and Gabe.

I agree with both of you. Sam and Gabe got my scorn because they wouldn’t just fucking talk to each other. Fucking communicate, you assholes.

So he came up with a phrase that he not only managed to appropriate to something other than it’s original useage, but a phrase that involves an action I’m sure he’s never done in his life in any form.
