One thing is true about boating, everyone has a different need. Just because you don’t see a market, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Just look at UTVs. 15 years ago, the UTV was non-existent outside of utilitarian side by sides like JD Gators.
Some people have already noticed that Sea Doo is using the same 1630cc motor in all of the Switch configurations. They are using the exact same motor, just tuned from 100hp to 230hp. In theory, it seems to be very feasible that you could order the 100hp compact, and tune it to the higher hp level.

I’m a ford guy, and I have yet to hear an ecoboost engine of any configuration that doesn’t have an absolutely awful exhaust note. I chalk it up to small turbos filtering out any sort of character in the exhaust note, leaving you with just a smooth, high pitched buzz. Blah
