Omg yes. I’ve gone off on dudes on OKC who are late 30s who put on their profile that they only want women in their early 20s. And dudes who are almost 50 who “might” want kids. Dating as a late-30s woman who actually wants a relationship & doesn’t want kids sucks.

Usually when we criticize the older men with younger women it’s because of the power dynamic & it’s so played out. It’s not often the other way around & this is the social where it’s a place for women to talk amongst themselves about shit. We’re not body-shaming anyone. What are you even on about?

I rented one to go camping & it was fine. Handled OK & I didn’t notice any blind spots. Can confidently say it didn’t stress me out on the highway.

The whole cast has great chemistry. I’ve only seen what’s on Netflix but I might need to find a way to watch the current season

Love that show! It’s so underrated.

Honestly haven’t even tried to watch it & don’t think I ever will

This is a good distinction. Thank you!

Seems most people agree with you! I’m the OP and I ended up putting $1500 towards the card, with a plan to pay the rest off ASAP, while still having a cushion in case of an emergency.

Not sure about what advice to give, other than try to switch to a credit union if you can, instead of a bank. My credit union is awesome, and I have my 6.9% interest credit card through them.

OP here — just got a new roof, so thankfully that’s covered! But it’s an older home and I wouldn’t be surprised if I have to get a new furnace soon. Thankfully I don’t have a car, so I don’t have to worry about that expense.

I thought about that, but didn’t want to go through the hassle of applying for another card, and I don’t want it to affect my credit score. Plus 6.9% is pretty manageable for me.

OP here — I have the credit card through my credit union. I actually think it used to be 7.9% and they lowered the interest rate last year, or the year before that. I highly recommend doing business with a credit union if you can. Mine has been awesome!

OP here — would getting a HELOC be a good idea in case I have larger expenses I have to pay for? I just got a new roof, but it’s an older home and who knows what else could break in the next couple years.

OP here — I’ve considered a HELOC and have significant equity in my home. I refinanced last year and got a extra out to pay for a new roof, which has been done. Since that’s a huge expense I won’t have to worry about, it would be nice to have an available line of credit in case other things go wrong (HVAC, other

OP here — The limit on my credit card is about $7500 so I wasn’t anywhere near the limit, thankfully. But I’ve put $1500 towards the debt and will pay the rest off next paycheck.

OP here — thanks for replying! I did end up paying most of the credit card debt off and will pay off the rest next month. I’m usually pretty good with credit; just let this one get a little too high for my comfort levels, which I won’t do again. And I’m going to start socking money away in my savings that I would have

Well, I’m not willing to do that because credit cards to have certain protections on them that comes in handy when renting a car, etc. I have a mortgage already so the time to buy a house with cash has passed. I’m just going to be more careful about (not) racking up a balance in the future when it’s paid off.

I do that with my Amazon card that I only use to make purchases with on Amazon. I don’t trust myself to do that on another credit card on a regular basis. Would rather use my debit card.

OP here — thank you so much for answering! I got a bit nervous about having the debt so decided to pay off $1500 of it now, and the rest next month. Although, reading through most of these replies, I might pay it off sooner rather than later.

Oh, boo fucking hoo. A service that streams a certain percentage of your entertainment is not 100% to your liking & doesn’t act the way the way you want it to. Back in my day we watched whatever was on TV & fucking dealt with it.
