I fucking hate guys who do the slow fade. Just say it. I don't want to hang out. It's not going to happen. And why do they make plans just to break?? Don't tell me that you want to have lunch tomorrow and then just not text me. Why even bother??
But people were nonstraightforward and did the slow fade long before text messages were a thing. Ie, phone convo: do you want to hang out this weekend? eh no, I have plans. Next weekend? I'll check and get back to you.
Teachers are among some of our most undervalued, underappreciated public servants. It kills me seeing the crap they have to go through, just trying to get our kids ready for their lives. Thanks for this post.
My little one goes to pre-k out here in California. His "teachers" are absolutly amazing. He's four and is reading, writing letters and numbers, and knows all the basic cute kindergarten stuff already. Why? Because three women go above and beyond everyday to teach him and the other little monsters how to be students…
