I would imagine that the story that had the greatest impact is one you don’t remember, that you heard very young, that wormed its way into your subconscious so that you don’t even think it’s a story, just the way the world is.

Most discussions of atheism I see in comment section start with “if you don’t believe in God, you’re an atheist” and then segue into long rants about other things you must be or not be to be a “real atheist”, and claims that various other commenters are not.

I’ve tried looking at that, but I’m not entirely sure how it works. Do people just post whatever they want? I tried to find a FAQ and couldn’t - is there one?

I’ve found a good way around writer’s block is to grab a random sentence and just keep writing from that, something that’s not your story. It doesn’t matter what you write, because when you’ve got the creative juices flowing you switch cups and collect that glorious liquid in the bowl of your NaNo story. I think I

Classic stuff, love it. That was my humour in my late teens, early twenties... although when you do it in person people tend to think you’re a bit soft in the head.

Actually, you’re right. I really enjoyed reading all of the books (I read them all at once), but I do remember feeling at the end of the last couple that the best characters had ignored.
