I’m well aware! Hilariously, they fucked themselves out of winning two elections on the state Supreme Court in consecutive elections by trying to rig them (long story) and now there’s a 6-1 Democratic majority on the court, including a justice who was the Southern Coalition for Social Justice’s and argued those… Read more
I see this take a lot, so not to single you out, but I think it’s excessively lazy. First off, the neo-Confederate contingent might be larger in the South than in the rest of the country (although it very much exists everywhere, ask Minnesota native Corey Stewart), but they are not going to vote for the Democrats no… Read more
lol John Carlin just said on PBS that the winner of today’s hearing is...Vladimir Putin. Thanks;
Why does every Republican congressman under the age of 50 look like a card-carrying member of the Proud Boys
What I really want to hear is just one Democrat questioning the basic wisdom of the OLC opinion that a sitting president can’t be indicted. I keep hearing “no one is above the law,” but that’s exactly what the opinion says: that the president is held to a different standard than everyone else.
I don’t know that it was a necessarily bad idea to call the hearing in the first place, but I dunno, he did say he wasn’t going to go outside the scope of the report.
This has generally been a disaster. The one useful thing Mueller said was to Ted Lieu, and he immediately walked that back, and the Republicans are just able to freely take shots at him because they know he won’t answer the questions. If anything, this is hurting their case for impeachment right now.
And with that, that’s the end of our second night of liveblogging this thing. The second round of debates will be July 30 and 31 in Detroit, we’ll see you then!
After the first two nights I think Harris and Warren have both really improved their chances of actually winning this thing. Biden was extremely exposed and Bernie really needs to figure out how to update his message now that he’s no longer the only person on the stage talking about healthcare and systemic inequality.
Thank you Chuck for saying it takes guts to run for president.
Hickenlooper talking about “big government,” what is this 1992
I’m absolutely loving Marianne Williamson anti-having plans position here
