I'm a fan of both.  But the show MASH, which got awful preachy sometimes, is not better than the movie.  I'm just saying.  This isn't scientifically verifiable.  It's just how it is.

"God's Song" is genius.  Yeah.

"Louisiana 1927" is monumental.  "Marie" is gorgeous, too. Oh, and "Old Man"- double-edged and absolutely chilling. At his best, where he hasn't really traveled for a while, Newman is as good as literally anybody.

I actually saw him play it outdoors, less than 100 yards from the former site of the World Trade Center, back when NYC was trying to convince people to start journeying downtown again.  There was a gaping hole there at the time.  THAT'S balls!
