I agree, and I think that type of autonomy is where modern American labor is heading. Some folks want to work harder and longer for greater remuneration (I am in that category). Others prefer a different work life balance.

Generally speaking, battery is defined as unwanted physical contact with one’s person. So yeah, cutting a seven yro’s hair without her or her guardian’s consent sure as shit constitutes battery in my book.
