Michael, I think your concerns are well-founded insofar as he would if he could. But I don’t think he can, as others have pointed out more eloquently.

After a ton of research, I bought a DS918+ (4x8TB, w/ 2x 128GB M.2s), specifically to create a backup solution for all of my years of shit (currently residing on an organized and redundant JBOD setup), as well as for all the devices that live in my house.

This strikes me as a pretty decent recovery from a serious, avoidable misstep by Disney on their new platform.
