The framing, cuts, and performances couldn't quite come to an agreement on the tone of the scene.

I never had strong feelings about this adaptation one way or the other. I do remember a screen-cap from it in a 'TV Preview' article around these parts and thinking 'That guy is young… but he doesn't have Beiber or Garfield hair….' Then a dog with a puffy tail ran by and that was that.

And only found emptiness and tribalism.

Hmm I'll look it up.

I've always enjoyed her perspective on pop culture. Good on you for supporting. I saw the Mel Brooks video she did the other month. A good point is made about the historical context of comedy and satire. It's not a 'come one, come all' situation. Like, it's been, what 40 years, since the Producers? Dressing like a

Hey! Is this any good? I like the books, but have a low tolerance for 'Britishness'…

Nothing about The Expanse panel?

I think I'm just done wi
th Nolan's style of 'realism'. The grim affectations… but everything is super clean, the shit going on is ridiculous, but it's practical and textured so it's really immersive… it's like he's on a quest to scrub his movies of any personality and humanity. Don't say 'what about the humanity of

Wow… that's an insane over reaction to someone making some observations about the trends in Disney movies. I don't follow Ellis that closely anymore, from what I remember, her rhetorical style isn't a hot bed of 'violent passionate reaction'.

I didn't like Dunkirk.

What is it? Huck Finn, with Devon Sawa in the early 90s has a scene where the carpetbaggers get tarred. It's not very realistic.

Carnivale had a harsh tarring and feathering too.

They aren't totally wrong. I'm cool with the pope, but I don't really care about Jesus.

Oooo, new Life Goal!

There's shit to look at in Kansas! They have the worlds largest ball of twine. What does Missouri have? The largest ball of string? Yes, yes they do, in Westin, MO. It's about a quarter the size of the twine in Cawker, KS.

Hey, when you're mucking about in Southern Ohio, Missouri starts to look pretty sweet.
