Really, Sling is what chord cutters had in mind. Being able to choose which channels you have. With the price hikes it getting closer to standard cable. I mean, Disney could really cut into Sling with Hulu if they lowered the price and offered greater customization with channels.

Wild guess that July 29, 2022 is a team up movie? Maybe with whatever hero(s) are introduced in Feb 2022? (maybe X-men?) Just looking at release schedule, I could see the new team of Avengers being Spider-Man, Thor (whoever has the hammer at the time), Dr. Strange, Wanda, Captain Marvel, Black Panther and random Read more

I think this is the one thing that was most disappointing. Luke Cage and Iron Fist not making appearances is somewhat understandable. But both Jessica Jones and Dare Devil take place in Hell’s Kitchen. At the very least (especially after Jessica Jones is arrested), he should show up and ask if she needs help after Read more

I sort of felt like Trish and Jessica’s make up discussion was Jessica acknowledging she f-upped with her mom. And she didn’t want to kill her mom or Trish. She wanted them locked up. But her mom escaped. As for Killgrave, that dude couldn’t be locked up. It’s been awhile since I’ve seen it, but there was little to no Read more

That’s a great point about the timing. I always just assumed that the Separatist movement was directly linked to the trade blockade in TPM, but a little bothered that ten years had past. I know Palpatine is a patient man, but I bet he would have liked to get his plan moving a little faster.

Maybe I’m missing something, but this didn’t prove that ultra-processed foods are inherently unhealthy to eat. The only health outcome they measured (at least from the article) seems to be caloric intake, and their hypothesis for why people on the processed diet gained more is because they ate more; and they ate more Read more

I just recently watched this with my daughter. Her first time. She enjoyed it quite a bit. As a film, it isn’t bad. Jar Jar still grates. And the political machinations are a little heavy handed. Read more

I can see that, though I thought Rogue One seemed fresh. So far, they have shown very little desire to stray too far from the main plot points of the Saga films. I was a little disappointed that Solo’s heist ended up helping the rebellion. But, I think my main argument is still valid. As you say, if they wanted to Read more

I can agree with this to a certain extent. With Marvel pumping out THREE movies this year, there isn’t similar talk of Marvel superhero fatigue. I’m more than a casual fan but interact mostly with the films (though I’ll probably watch the new live action TV series). The issue has more to do with quality. Rogue One was Read more

Hmm. The only movies Hulk can even appear in are team up movies. With Stark gone and Parker still a kid, Professor Hulk can be a permanent face of the Avengers, both in terms of being a scientist doing “science things” and hero, taking photo ops. Also, as a CGI character, Rufallo can play the character for as long as Read more

I actually thought about this as well. They are in open war and they weren’t scouting ahead? Hell. The dragons should have been scouting.

Well, who else who has powers might be a more appropriate question. Black Panther is probably cleaning up Wakanda. Scarlet Witch probably wants nothing to do with anything. Same for Bucky, maybe, who is maybe still a fugitive. War Machine? Back working for the US Government. Hulk seems hurt. Ant Man and Wasp? I can Read more

Also, why didn’t she fly around the back of the ships coming in low. They were between two cliffs. She could have fire bombed them (or at least a few) before the ships had time to turn around.

I kind of feel that way already. It was pretty clear in Crystal Skull that this wasn’t the same Indi from the Last Crusade. The Force Awakens did a better job at hiding his age. He would be better playing a mentor/father role, than trying to do intense action scenes.

I think this is the correct take. Cercei was playing the odds. Either the Wights are unstoppable thus sending an army is pointless or the living win, but will have a significantly smaller army and hopefully less dragons. The best play was to wait it out and see what happens.

It really feels like Marvel might be taking a deep breath before really getting into Phase 4. All that happens in Endgame makes things like the Disney+ stuff feel like prequel or preamble. The alternate timelines, though, might make for a nice way to introduce Mutants. You could even have Strange say something to that Read more

RE: Rey’s parents. I honestly don’t understand the hate. 1) This is the Skywalker saga. There will be plenty of future stories with new characters who can use the force. 2) IF Rey turns out to be a Skywalker, this isn’t a retcon and wouldn’t be any worse than TLJ ignoring or going in a different direction from things Read more

OK. So, the show and AIW are happening at the same time. So, depending on how long the Wakanda battle is, that leaves only a few hours maybe to memorialize Fitz and fly to Tahiti to drop off May and Coulson. So, epilogue of the show has to take place after the snap, right? Or after the reset?

Ugh. You’re right. I read your comment and thought, yeah, what about that ship that landed on Chicago! Then I thought about it more and realized that IF Thanos is attacking while all this is going on, how in the hell does Coulson and the gang have time for a memorial service (with an engraved plaque) and fly to Tahiti Read more
