@alex-y: I think you missed the point entirely. Earth will not survive. It is just that simple.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who would suggest "we need to solve our problems at home before we invest in space", is not worth my wasted breath in explaining that they couldn't be more wrong. Luckily we have the cyborg astrophysicist to spell it out for the mouth breathers.

@ericstoltz: I prefer the scientific method.

@Alex Raymundo: Well, Alex my greatest fear is that a large number of people are going to permanently injure themselves and others by not realizing that even the safety goggles included with the laser are not very good at protecting against refraction.

@Kaspir: As I've said before, I am not for or against apologizing for the nuclear strikes against Japan during World War 2. Obviously there was ample justification for the strikes.

@dcarrington01: I am not saying we should or shouldn't apologize. No side here. It was a horrific war. I think that our decision not to make an effort to apologize for such a gut wrenching vile attack speaks volumes to the utter depth of depravity that all involved sunk to. And that is something I think future

@The Donut Pirate: The united states has NEVER officially apologized for the attacks at Nagasaki or Hiroshima. A few months ago we sent a delegate to Hiroshima for a memorial. We did not apologize.

The United States has never apologized. Probably never will.

I don't see a net to catch the baby. How is it supposed to imitate david carusoe's career?

@Og, the Bridge Burner: Still. It's not really that amazing. I mean you'd be amazed how low bandwidth you can get dvd "quality" video into.

Yeah this laser is ABSURDLY dangerous. Unless you actually are doing research with lasers it is effectively useless to you.

Man, those poor people in pic 6, are eating the same thing I ate last night in a similar atmosphere... and I dropped crazy coin on it.

The TSA continues to revolt me in every way possible.

Meh I did this in 2003 over the internets using a hacked smr codec. Colour me unimpressed.

Can we please stop calling it ios. I keep thinking I have to upgrade my switches.

@Maave: A single use transmitter isn't SUPER expensive. If you leave something battery powered, your problem becomes them doing forensic analysis of the device and tracking components back to you.

@Maave: Oh and this lovely blast from the past.

@Maave: I know in several situations including one very high profile one, someone used a very high powered antenna signal to drown out another transmitter.

Hackers, holding the backdoor open for you since 1964.
