These reviews have become a bit of a bore to read as Myles can’t seem to make peace with the diversion into WIll territory, something that I have adored. Some of it has certainly seemed like padding, but I love that we get to start Season 2 more or less where book 2 started, but without having to do too much

I think you’re missing the genius of the decision of moving Will’s world (aka ours) to this season. For me, the biggest thrill of the trilogy was starting the story in a fantasy world and then unexpectedly entering ours - it’s the perfect inversion of a thousand rip offs of Narnia; it’s *our* world that feels alien.

Yo be honest, although Sam Elliot is a Perfect Cowboy, I had always pictured Scoresby as a younger man, much like Miranda in this in fact. I have a memory of him climbing a mountain in The Subtle Knife which I don’t think a gent of Elliott’s age could have done convincingly.

BR2049 is almost perfect until Harrison Ford shows up, but then it falls off a cliff. Also, Jared Leto is playing a Bond villain, making me long for the moral ambiguity of the original movie.

He also directed this. Which I saw in the cinema. The first credit was for the animal handlers instead of the director, which I thought was good.

He’s hilarious on Twitter and him saying that The Rolling Stones haven't had a James Blunt level hit is very much the humour he'd use

I was blown away when I saw a storm cloud moving in the distance, with rain underneath, just like IRL.

Hugo's shop is called Victor's Secret - a play on Victoria's Secret

Well, when there’s a Willow there’s a way

I kinda love how the villains in GotG seem to have fallen right out of He-Man. Sure, Ronan is no cackling Skelator, but their one-note characterisation felt right at home in an 80s kids cartoon, which is of course appropriate given Quill’s background.

It’s kinda true that they’re vanity projects but at the same time really sad than they keep making Die Hard and Terminator movies with ageing male actors movies but the only way for a female actor to keep starring in action movies is through her husband.

You better believe I tried to put that pun in there ;-)

For all the crap the Resident Evil movies get (often deservedly) it can’t be ignored that Jovovich is the only female action hero with 6 movies to her name. It’s kinda amazing.

I once saw him at a distance at a convention and got all bashful and couldn’t go and talk to him. I don’t know what I’d do if he attack-hugged me!

Gotta admit the show lost me for a little bit after this - I definitely felt that introducing this kind of magic opened the door to all kinds of shenanigans that the ‘realistic’ world of the show had presented thus far (cos dragons are just animals, not magical).

Pre-Trek Shatner!

Yeah I mean it *is* David Bowie we’re talking about here.

Change the headline! It barely got a release in the UK so despite the film being out for a while I'd be cautious about spoiling the most unexpected twist I've seen recently

I’ve not really bothered paying attention to this story (but here I am commenting on it, ha ha) but from what I’ve been overhearing it seems people are hating on somebody for racist thoughts that they didn’t act upon 40 years ago?

But is it more annoying that the actual title of the show is ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ aka with no definite article?
