idk why this posted twice.
There are places that will give you $250 for your shit heap, and they’ll tow it away for you. This is in Arkansas. Source: I’m in Arkansas, and have availed myself of this a few times.
Possible fuel-source contamination? Or possible oil-quality issue at their last service (unsure if WPB services their own or takes them to a dealer)?
We’ve had ours for 2yrs & 35k miles. Other than the tires being absolute shit, I have minimal complaints... but here are some anyway:
1. that brake bite you’re feeling wouldn’t be all that bad, if there was actual pedal feel... but there isn’t. The pedal feels the same at the top of the stroke as it does at the bottom,…
I’ve seen two in my life. Both of them were Grand Cherokee SE models, without the plastic cladding on the bottom 1/4 of the doors. Never actually (until this video, I guess) seen a Laredo ZJ w/a manual trans.
I thought the 5th gen 4Runner came out for the 2010 model year (unveiled in Sept. 2009?). Either way, not a 2008 as stated in the article. They were still building the 4th gen all the way into 2009.
A rendition of an XJR-9 in this livery hangs on the wall of my daughter’s room. Purchased it from Arch Duke Maxyenko’s society6 page. Was able to sell the wife on it because A: she has no idea what silk cuts were, and B: purple goes well with whatever color scheme she’s picked out for our kiddo.
Two years ago, my brother in law bought a ‘96 Eddie Bauer w/188k on it. Rust free southern truck with great paint. It’s had a few issues since then but nothing insurmountable (steering column/key interlock, front axle seals, wheel bearings, an O2 sensor, excessive play in the steering box etc).
My only concern is replacement parts availability for the component parts that will fail with use - diffs, t-case, gearbox, engine. Are these all proprietary Mahindra bits?
Different front calipers between the two of them. Looks like 4 pot (?) on the car in the background, with sliding calipers on the car in the foreground. Whatever it is, that might mean that there’s a hotter version of it coming as well.
Monster Jam sealed the deck or hull seams of a wooden ship with tar to prevent leakage... for your travel and hotel stay?
We have a 5th gen 4Runner as well (the one I mentioned previously is my 3rd gen V6 with skids, sliders, an ARB bumper, a winch, etc etc), and we just filled it up this morning - 364 miles on 19.561 gallons of regular (23 gal tank, fuel light turns on at 5 gal remaining, “max cruise range” zeros out at 3.5 gal…
I guess the saving grace of these turds is that they’re now about bald (3/32) after less than 50% of their advertised tread life. What tires did you go with, if I may ask? And how do you like them vs. the AT-20s?
Man, and here I was thinking the UAW bad. At least they’re not Nazis.
Surprised you were able to make there and back on those Dunlops. Source: Have AT-20s on our ‘16 4Runner and they’re outmatched by dirt roads. And rain. And wet grass. And dry pavement.
