Why do they all have to look like this?
Guy said “sounds good” as a requirement at least twice. Three of the four nominations have a V8 ... which ... maybe the guy likes the sound of a V8. Apparently a LOT of people like the sound of a V8. I also don’t golf or watch sports or understand why I’d want to drink sugar drinks, so I must be a weirdo, because to…
This article doesn’t sharpen the point that it makes, but it’s there. Calling everything an allergy makes me roll my eyes and be less careful about having my killer nuts laying around at a party.
First, write the bound-to-go-viral post.
Then, have someone edit the post.
THEN, post it.
Time will never fix the ungainly style we applied to these cars in the late 70s. And it’s a GT; AC is absolutely required for the photogray and reel to reel crowd. Forever CP.
So glad that Cosworth is still cool. Most of the other tuners are as much about image as performance.
First Gear: Capital A “Alliance” répéter. I see what you did there.
I was about to click CP, but then I saw you endorsed an Audi A4 as a sane alternative. I think I’ll abstain today.
Same engine - as noted. But the XR4ti had hydraulic engine mounts, different primary engine mounts (and location?) different accessory brackets (something to do with vibration and noise) and a different intake. I could be remembering wrong, but the internets backs up my memory on this one.
I had an 88 with the stick, back in the late 90s. I think you’re giving the engine short shrift. Pretty sure the unit as placed in the XR4ti was given a heavier German massage for noise, vibration and harshness than the setups in the T-Bird and Stang. The driving position, handling and comfort were first class for the…
Am I the only one who didn’t like this show car’s design? Comic book wheel proportions, greenhouse that looks like a poorly scaled drawing and a swollen nose is what I see.
From the side, this thing gives the Aztek a run for its money.
Hey, you threw me off!
Thank you for putting the PRND photo first, so I would know I don’t need to read carefully.
Let’s all stop trying to say it better than this person did and just give him/her stars.
My taste in cars has gone from cheap, cool, clapped-out old car as daily-driver, to cheap, cool, clapped-out old car in the barn for fun.
I’m just glad to finally see a “Designer” label interior that doesn’t feature diamond-pattern quilted leather.
So, before the future got here, I was always giddy about the fact that the cars I wanted were cheaper because they had a stick and three pedals. I would have been willing to pay more for a stick, but instead I got away with paying less. Suckers!
Why do the Germans (last week’s BMW Mansory and today’s MB Designo) think we want quilted/diamond patterns on our seats as a sign of extra luxury? And “Designo”? What the hell kind of throwaway name is that?
