I just want to highlight that European Scouts are none gender specific. When I tell my friends in Spain or Switzerland that the Scouts are divided into genders in The States they are severely confused why that would be.

Just to be clear, I am not implying, I am stating that I think the over-existence of traditional clothing design and advetisement is not helpful for both sexual and gender equality. In fact, I am concerned this retro-movement puts us at risk of forgetting why women worked and risked themselves to be seen as equals.

Of course they can! I do not find the world dialectical in that way. Just because I choose not to wear skirts, does not mean others wouldn’t choose differently. I mention it only because I feel it highlights where I find myself on the spectrum of gender as well as sexuality and emphasizes this as an important issue.
