I am surely in the minority when I feel that Harlan Ellison is one of the most over-rated writers that I have encountered, closely followed by Stephen R. Donaldson.
But it would have been extensively rewritten by the producers because Ellison's script would have called for location shooting in Tibet, a 60-foot statue of Harvey Dent, 30 speaking parts and a running time of 74 minutes which absolutely could not be shortened.
