That's… bizarre. It's a pretty bad list (with some good albums). If you are going to include Pink Moon and Fisherman’s Blues, I think you need to include more albums from before the mid 1990s. As much as I love Nick Drake, it would've been better not to include those at all.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case. I'm not saying it's her best song, but it was indeed a really good fit for The Leftovers' second season. Also: The Leftovers is worth your time.

Also, I think the season was cut from ten to eight episodes, at the last minute, and one or two of the remaining eight were re-edited to accommodate material from the deleted episodes.
