Its ironic that Spielberg’s first film was a 1971 TV movie. ‘Duel’ Starring Dennis Weaver’. The first film of my youth to genuinely frighten the bejezus out of me.

- I remember being really disappointed in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. I’m a VHS kid and Jurassic Park was my go-to movie for any rainy or boring weekend. There were no thrills in the sequel at all and in my 6th grade class, I didn’t know anyone else who liked it.

AV Club: Kinja was pretty disappointing.

With Hannibal, Fuller never got to fulfill his true passion of ditching a project before it was complete, but he still has hopes he can.

Wait, they recolored the old Sandman books? When did this happen?

And yeah, Good Omens came out when Pratchett was nowhere near the top of his game (he was just ramping up at that point) and Gaiman was brand new at writing novelistically.

American Gods was... middling. Good Omens, it seems, also middling.

Can we please stop clamoring for someone to ruin the Sandman legacy on a film or TV series now? The “remastered”, re-colored reissue of the original Sandman books was contentious enough - I don’t need Zack Snyder or anyone else’s vision of the Dream

The only thing that ‘happened’ to Richard Kelly was Richard Kelly.

Made a Faustian pact for the cult success of Donnie Darko and the Devil turned up to collect afterwards

Whoa!

Like, how can you be so down on the human experience, A.A. Dowd? Do you even remember how to make love? Maybe Kechiche just had something to say in words that can’t be contained within the soulful bounds of like, grammatical expression? Maybe we are heading towards the end of everything! Did you consider? Did you even

A.A. I’m so glad you said what you did about Jackie Brown. It’s my favorite film of his. In fact, it’s the only film of his I revisit. Even Pulp Fiction, all respect to it, doesn’t really grab me. But Jackie Brown does. It’s his most earnest, most emotional film. The plotting is perfect, the script brilliant, and it’s

You mean exactly like everyone thought it was before, until the White Walkers were proven to exist?

Also, Sam is still in the Night’s Watch, but apparently he doesn’t have to go back because he’s got a sweet gig as Grand Maester, despite not even being a maester.  And also having a baby on the way, not that we saw Gilly this week.

It didn’t seem to exist at all. There were the two guys escorting Jon out of the city, but there were only Wildlings at Castle Black. I think it was just a ruse to trick Grey Worm. The Night’s Watch no longer exists, and everyone else knew Jon would run off with the Wildings.

My favourite part when they sent Jon to the Night’s Watch, which has no longer has a reason to exist.

The other lords laughing at him was the only part of the episode that felt real.

I feel like D&D has a “let’s include as little magic as we can” policy and prophecies were part of it. Not the way I would have done it (Lady Stoneheart!!!). I do feel like like Jon rejecting the Magic Prince narrative and ending the Targaryen line was consistent with his character arc and a satisfying resolution.

That’s the problem! The last two seasons were a rushed mess of major setpeices written by two assholes who were too busy to make their Confederates show and write for Star Wars that they were too lazy to finish the job they had started. The journey these last two seasons sucked.

It’s about the journey, man.

And with that, GOT comes to an end.
