Its a Nintendo PR account that chose the image, chose to interpret it that way, and chose to publicize it. That sequence is not remotely ok.

I have to push back on the “elbows on the table”. What exactly is so offensive about this? It’s comfortable, it helps me lean forward and engage in conversation. It feels like a 19th century Emily Post recommendation because everyone’s elbow sleeves were caked in manure from working in the fields all day, and we’ve

Don’t cram every possible article into pointless, unnecessary slideshows. So thank you for not doing it here.

Konami said it “acknowledge[s] that there have been reports of problems users have experienced with cut-scenes, facial expressions, movements of players, and the behavior of the ball.

Can someone explain to me why these dipshits at Konami don’t just sell all of their IP if they aren’t interested in making video games anymore? Sure, I get that they could milk a few more years out of this series but they’re also sitting on MGS, Silent Hill, etc. Even in America you rarely see publishers treat their

These are fun and fine, let people have fun with their alien space shooter

I think the problem lies in the zeitgeist of it all really. The concept of a “live service” game inherently flawed, because it’s suggest that a single game could sustain itself forever. Which is impossible in an industry focused on profit and growth. Cause regardless of how good a game is, interest will always

No, I agree. I just don’t see how making your competitive shooter more like the dozens of other competitive shooters on the market is going to grow the Overwatch League?

All the other MOBA-inspired, team-centric hero shooters from 2015-2017 crashed and burned so unceremoniously that no one remembers them now. What’s proven a lot more sustainable is sprinkling hero shooter elements into other genres like battle royale (Apex) or tactical shooter (Valorant, Siege).

I’m low-key a total cheug, bruh.

Video games (and software in general) are iteratively developed. We’ve got like a thousand versions of Mario Kart that are more or less the same thing with new courses. Been tossing green shells at each other since the 90s. You can keep compounding on the same base game over and over (like WoW) or go for a more clean

So they’re leaning into more individual effort gameplay instead of focusing on teamwork. Isn’t teamwork what sets OW apart from the pack though?  The more I hear about OW 2 the more I believe it’s going to be an ill-defined mess.  I hope I’m wrong?

I think Overwatch 1 is a quick game that a small team put together and pushed out after their previous game (Titan) was canceled. And I think Overwatch 2 was supposed to be the more “refined” vision for the franchise (and I think it’s a brand new engine and stuff right?)

I... don’t know why it’s going to take at least
