Nobody is equal. This is the greatest fallacy of mankind. Nobody is, has been, or ever will be equal to others in brain power, physical makeup, etc. Nobody is, has been, or ever will be equal in social status, monetary status, or power. It's never going to happen. Ever.

God please would you go shut the fuck up. You are probably one of, if not the most privileged person writing in this thread.

If you think these falling oil prices are just a fantastic coincidence... I've got some shit to sell you.

if your a pussy that's not a good idea. if you are normal maybe you should walk.

Or, you know, find a different way to get around. Their surge pricing is transparent. And no, they are not responsible for people's drunk actions.

Gawker Media encapsulates everything that you mentioned in your first paragraphs. They literally can't be wrong. Even if they are wrong, they circle the wagons tighter (see UVA story) and that magically fixes everything. Most of the commentariate here is delusional or trolls that see the delusion and feed it

I love how it's always the liberal arts majors of the world complaining about America's lack of scientific understanding... lol.

And no, those classes weren't remedial. They were english 2, and advanced lit classes. I'm telling you, you'd be surprised what classes are like outside of the major institutions...

A lot of them are looking for their engineering or business degree, citizenship, and then back home. :( They are good people too. Not a whole lot of people I know are going for their advanced degrees. I might, if I switch to CS to get into a couple programs I'm thinking of.

There should be more professors like you. :) A challenging English class is wonderful... unfortunately, there aren't a lot of them. :( I hear they get much more rigorous at the 3k and 4k level, however.

You wouldn't happen to need a research assistant and be living near the Boston area right??? OR HAVE I BURNED THIS BRIDGE??? hahaha

hahahaha. :)

:) Maybe... But when I'm not online, and my words are attached to myself, I do act differently. That, is probably a bad thing. I always try to make people in real like feel better about themselves, because then they will feel better about me. But here, everyone is always in attack mode. There's no point in trying

Hahaha, I'm not a good person... A paper for some personal tutoring seems a good trade off. And honestly, I've seen the kids who "deserve" to get into the great programs. They are much, much better than I where it counts. I'm putting out fires all semester to try to pull a 4.0 out of the ashes while trying to get my

Thanks. Sorry for being an asshole. :(

A typo? Isn't this is gawker? I might be able to find a typo like that in this very article... If not, I can certainly find something equivalent in an article published today. I'm really unsure what point this comment makes...

There's a lot to be said for my perceived elitism... I'm not being very diplomatic with

I've already gotten into NYU, Cornell, Brown, and Penn. Getting into liberal arts colleges isn't a problem... Getting into Penn Wharton however.... is nearly impossible. The only transfer kid I knew who got in started his own business already and had the GD chancellor of all of CUNY write his recommendation

Yeah it's tough. And things have gotten so competitive these days. I see kids coming out of high school now that are light years away from kids 10 years ago... when I graduated... I don't know if the stats back me up, but the minute you get away from the inner city shit-hole of a situation :( , the education in

And shit. I don't want to sound like an elitist, because those ploy sci kids work hard. But the thing is, everyone I know in science is basically killing themselves. It is so fucking competitive these days.

And on top of it, med school acceptance rates are hovering at about %5 last time I checked (though that is not a field I'm pursuing)... I'll let you know the very minute that a friend of mine who wants to get a doctorate in Poly Sci doesn't get accepted to at least one doctoral program. There's been 3 or 4 of my
