He was not the problem with the movies. I’m honestly really bummed they’re apparently not giving him a chance to actually shine.

Say what you will about the movies, Cavill was a good Superman given what he had to work with.
I don’t think so.
That might work if they consciously miscast Lazarus - get a Jared Leto type who’s simply grating in the role and everybody hates, and then play off that.
there’s a good seed in here. just as Quinto took over the role from an iconic (and now also sadly deceased) actor. you could tell that story
He’s really got the Hollywood BS speak down. What does that even mean? Also lets be honest here Galaxy Quest was great as it spoofed but in a loving way a genre we all love in a time when there wasn’t much of that. It didn’t hurt it had an amazing cast which cannot be replicated - Galaxy Quest without Alan Rickman…
Not too keen on the animation style, but then, I wasn’t too keen on Rebels’ style, either. And it grew on me.
Yeah, I think I have to agree with Peele here. Serling had a special something about him that I don’t think many people could or should attempt to emulate.
Only half of the readers will understand what you’re getting at.
Nice! I liked this show more than I thought I would.
I actually saw the episode months ago, so I'm not speaking for myself, I'm speaking in general. Like I said, just save the spoiler for the body of the article and keep it out of the title. Problem solved.
Why the blatant spoiler? I’m genuinely asking. Why not just have the title be something like “Why Rebels Didn’t Wait Until The Finale To Kill This Important Character” and just have the main image be a random promo shot of the crew?
I can’t even get excited for a Venom movie without Spider-man even though I love Tom Hardy.
Sony’s record with superhero movies is pretty bad. Without Marvel they’ve had 2 2 1/2 good Spider-Man movies and a complete failure with the Fantastic Four.
“All these characters are connected to the character that you actually care about. That we’re not going to show you. But he’ll show up! Eventually. Maybe.
I’ve made this argument since I saw VIII. This whole thing is the Rey and Kylo show. Nothing exist outside of the immediate interactions, and nothing is in the balance except their outcomes. The universe has gotten infinitely smaller in the last rounds. The only glimpse of the outside galaxy is the Casino planet.
There’s a lesson here about understanding and respecting the previous generation of the saga.
Huh?
Sorry, what did TFA go out of its way to fix? I mean, other than “fixing” the question of Rey’s parents and Snoke’s background?
I remember when Clone Wars was canceled and the Rebels trailer launched and how I felt about it - that it was going to be Disneyfied, that it would lose the nuances of the canon, that it was just stupid and it would suck.
Even funnier since Glenn & Neville (the last two judges) are precisely responsible for Discovery’s make-ups & creatures designs.
