For the love of all that is holy, please, yes. Bond is supposed to be FUN. I admit, I enjoyed the tone and energy they gave to Casino Royale, but it had its time. Skyfall and, shudder, Spectre, were just horrible films.

What a passive-aggressive little comment.

I think there is room for more “one-and-done” stories that don’t require (in principle) any knowledge of the latest cross-over. But I really believe that the solution (such as it is) would be to just slow down the cross-overs and let most titles just do there own thing.

I was trying to figure out what this new solution was supposed to be, and it IS just a bunch of one-shots in (presumably) an expensive new format. Ha!

Well, once they took comics out of grocery stores and any place where a child would actually see them they were screwed. To be fair, though, I was raised on the cartoons in the late 1990s and early 2000s and got into comics now, in my 20s, because I liked the characters. So it can happen. And I see parents in my

Or, just stop doing event series and let ongoing comics breathe. All of the best comics I’ve been reading from DC over the past few years were basically on their own, like Gotham Academy and Batwoman. Just let the characters tell their own stories. Well, I’ll await DC’s call to join their board and tell them how to

I love the cast, I like some of the themes, but I hate the aesthetic and the friggin’ lens flare. It’s like Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome (not the series, look it up) and the Kelvin Timeline had a horrible baby. Yikes.

You seem a little defensive, my friend. Legitimate criticism does not equal character assassination (not that you can assasinate the character of a television show). You can disagree with their criticism and say, “You’re wrong, the show isn’t racist and/or sexist” but you’re probably wrong. Or you can admit “Okay, the

HOLY COW! Spoiler! My favorite character is on Young Justice! She’s NEVER in anything. Wow! This makes me 100% more excited than I was before. So, incredibly excited.

Ugh. This just reminds of how stupid Avengers Vs. X-Men was. (Danger! Rant incoming! I mean, afterwards, almost everyone, including supposedly mature characters like Storm and Beast, blamed Scott even though he was under the influence of the Phoenix. You know how common mind control is in superhero comics? Get over

First and foremost, I’m very excited for a new Doctor and a new showrunner. Finally I can start watching Doctor Who again! Second, I’m so curious as to how this decision was made (and I’m sure it was more difficult than it needed to be)...and I’m guessing Moffat and the BBC battled over this casting!

Is Disney making fun of itself, or just clueless? Disney Princesses escorted by Storm Troopers. Storm Troopers. The fascist bad guys. Okay.

Honestly, I’m a little dissappointed - I thought that Affleck could do a good job based on “Argo” and “The Town” and his acting work in “Gone Girl” and “Batman V Superman.” I liked his portrayal as a wry Bruce Wayne and bluff Batman. Regardless, I hope Matt Reeves does a good job!

I was wondering if they were going to do Wonder Woman in Vietnam, maybe draw a little inspiration from DC’s The New Frontier. Not hopeful, per se, but it would be really cool to see Wonder Woman in Vietnam, walking out of cascades of napalm, set to “Ride of the Valkyeries,” and then leap into the air and cut a

Wasn’t the Penguin the villain in Batman: Earth 1, and as mayor of Gotham? Something like that.

Absolutely; but at least Owlman would make sense as a villain. In this case, I’m trying to withhold judgment, but this story seems like it uses Batman as a strawman and “the Joker” to make a rather ham-handed point.

I’m sure this will be an interesting Elseworlds tale, but haven’t most modern Batman comics already tackled the fact that Bruce Wayne attacks the root causes of crime while Batman tackles the worst symptoms? I have to add that choosing the Joker (a psychopathic, abusive mass murderer) as your protagonist was either

Exactly. Modern Batman writers have already addressed these issues to the logical extent that they can given it’s a comic book about Batman. We know you can’t solve crime with a fist, but it’s escapist fiction, and Bruce Wayne uses every other tool to attack the root causes of crime.

I just discovered this show on Netflix and I’m amazed at how much silly fun they are having with this show. It’s Supernatural smashed together with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it’s pure, ridiculous gold.

As a Canadian, I’m proud of our continued contribution to the critically acclaimed genre of campy supernatural Westerns. (And all sci-fi and fantasy television.) :D
