Shouldn’t we wait for at least a couple of games before anointing Browns to Pats a success? There are so many chances this goes sideways quickly.

I liked that CBS announced in the midst of Chiefs-Jaguars that they are switching to a more competitive game (due to technical difficulties), I see Browns-Titans on my screen and it is immediately not a competitive game any more.

I think what others are pointing out that the Raiders were able to handle him. They were able to get past all that training camp crap and he was ready to play week 1. This fine stuff is what tripped everything. Having done the hard yards, they let their ego get the better of them at the last minute.

That’s why Dolphins are not going 0-16... they will play Patriots in Miami. Somehow, even the crappiest Dolphins teams I can remember (last 20 or so years), manages to trip up Patriots. This is the true Miami Miracle!

Didn’t Rodgers also suffer this same injury? I think he was able to come back in 6 weeks or so? Hope Foles make it back soon, though Minshew seemed even better.

Not buying this. I think Raiders got too caught up with ego and money... but a little too late. Also, not sure why they did not try to trade/suspend Brown befored releasing him.

If the guaranteed money was a little less, I would have said Belichick signed Brown just to cut him at first show of a problem, to show eveyrone (including Brady) who’s the boss in NE.

Did not see this coming... at all. More than the ‘problems’, I thought money would be a major problem. Hope this works out, but can’t see it working out. This has potential to go either (extreme) way. Whew!

I doubt any GM picks him up. Some coaches probably would want to, but GMs would be terrified of him now, and not because of the threat of violence. He just makes them look stupid and incompetent. I think the Raiders came out of this as well as they could, but how do you let your (arguably) best player be enabled/aliena…

I commented on some blog here that about 73% of all football decisions in NFL are made with Patriots in mind. I would like to apologize for lowballing teams’ fear. 93% would have been more appropriate.

For all we know, NFL probably hasn’t heard the tape yet. They probably don’t even know it exists.
