To be fair, I was among the fans who grew up watching MTS3k but didn’t realize that a form of it had been reborn with RiffTrax and Cinematic Titanic. In fact, RiffTrax lead me to Cinematic Titanic just as Cinematic Titanic was ending.

I liked Cinematic Titanic, but my problem with this is that there wasn’t a single mention of the Rifftrax guys or project in the Kickstarter. Joel can’t just ignore the existence of RiffTrax, especially now that old MST3k eps are showing up on the site for purchase.

I appreciate that they’re asking for what they need rather than the old “give us a few hundred thousand to gauge interest and we’ll get the actual funding from some sketchy publisher no one has ever heard of” tactic.
