That’s not what sealed records are and not all juvenile court records are.

The idea that being denied participation in an all-male organization makes one the victim of anti-male bias is almost as amazing as calling protesters dodgers of an imaginary draft. I think most talk of “fake news” is overblown, but I sometimes worry at the anti-reality discourses that seem to be solidifying out there.
Also, the other rapist’’s dad used to be my freshman science teacher, and he was a conceited and lecherous asshole who lost multiple coaching jobs in the area amidst rumors of sleeping with students.
No worries. I admit that the first article I read about it was real foggy on the connection between the judge and Richmond’s father, and I just sort of assumed it was the judge from the rape case. Can happen to anyone.
ah, damn. Who would have thought that local gossip could have possibly been inaccurate?
Just a quick clarification: Richmond’s dad did shoot a judge (Joseph Bruzzese, but not the judge that presided over the rape case. A visiting judge (Thomas Lipps) oversaw Richmond’s rape case. Richmond’s father, however, did have a case or cases in front of the judge he tried to kill, according to the Washington Post: …
I don’t think they fucked up by admitting him to the university, per se. But they definitely fucked up by letting him on the football team. There is no right to play on a team, even in a state school. A roster spot is a privilege (and I mean that in the least snobby way possible) and the university does not have to…
Also: about a month ago, Richardson’’s dad (and another guy) shot the judge who presided over the rape case. The judge, who was hit in the stomach, fired back and killed one of his attackers. The judge was critical for a while, but ended up making it.
I know, and he was fantastically successful at Youngstown. I just find it funny that Youngstown has not one, but two, fired B1G football coaches in their employ.
This whole thing requires huge nerve, but this statement....wow...
An anti-male bias claim is an interesting approach, but I don’t see how they can support an assertion that a school that knowingly employs both Pelini brothers has a problem with dicks on campus.
I would argue that they probably didn’t think about it at all until some people got upset about it. I would also argue that the rights of all the young women on campus to feel safe in their environment are just as important as his right to play football. I have no idea how to resolve these two opposing points of view,…
“But I’M the victim here, not HER!”
without the existence of any wronged individual
I mean, I’m no lawyer, but this seems more like a case of anti-rapist bias.
> anti-male bias
The chutzpah here is mind-blowing. You’d think someone covered of rape would have just disappeared. But he actually played HS football again after completing his prison sentence? No wonder he thinks he’s been wronged here.
Not gonna defend a rapist, but Youngstown fucked up big by admitting him in the first place. It wasn’t some secret they just found out about after they let him on the team. The fact that the school thinks they can admit a player and take away a year of eligibility simply because they feel like it after the fact is…
Sucks when someone fucks you non-consensually, doesn’t it?
Mr Richmond’s lawyers seemed to have spelled “anti-rapist bias” incorrectly.
