God this made me queasy.
Yeah I can’t tell if the tone lately seems especially rude and cynical or if I’m just extra sensitive.
I mean, “Nazi” was the preferred moniker of, yanno, the Nazis, and nobody needed to rebrand them to something more literal. The name acquired an appropriate grossness because it was theirs. I expect the same will happen quite quickly here.
Know what’s funny? Christie’s biggest headline from the 2012 election was his genuine friendliness with / gratitude for President Obama when he came to visit the state post-Sandy — and then his subsequent chilliness with the Romney campaign in the final week leading up to the election. I was living in NJ at the time…
