Depends on the car too, many newer cars design their engines to start stop. Mercedes has a “mild” hybrid system and a separate battery that makes the auto stop/start pretty seamless and unnoticeable.

I know putting hot food in fridge in fine, it’s actually better to do that than leaving it out to cool but mentally I can’t help but hesitate because it’s so ingrained in me.
