I still despise the look and animation (awkward gestures, movements) of Xbox avatars. I feel as if their software teams must be lacking the presence of a single dedicated, competent designer on staff.

Personally, I find the obsession with extreme violence to be much more "embarrassing", "silly and stale" for gaming than sexual content could ever hope to be. So I guess we're unlikely to see eye to eye, but at least we both share a disinterest in Lolipop Chainsaw, for opposite reasons.

Agreed. I adore the use of the 3-days limit in Majora's Mask; that game couldn't exist without it. And I also greatly enjoyed the time limits for the main dungeon in Phantom Hourglass.

I think I'd rather have IR pointer controls on the Wiimote, and then keep the screen in my lap for managing inventory, typing messages, etc.

    Now playing

God what a terrible character and actress.

Hidden-camera footage of actual Kotaku member 'shop room.

i agree about the use of the source image. One of those above just uses the old standard Reggie headshot and honestly should be disqualified in order to keep any semblance of a fair contest. It's just Reggie and Iron Man, uses neither the source image nor the spirit of the source (all three Nintendo personalities),

5 minutes in heaven is better than 1 minute in heaven.

Personally I always find Nintendo's booth attendants to be the ideal balance. Yes, they're almost exclusively attractive women, but they're dressed professionally and not exactly made into a spectacle. I certainly think we all have to accept that any and all PR-related jobs of this sort are going to hire attractive

Right on. Nothing in the Trek franchise can beat out the best episodes of TNG.

    Hehe, classic.

I'll be taking bets that this guy is amongst them.

I'm not defending the guy (nor am I defending the merit of his "art") but it is indeed relevant that he presents his work openly as Photoshopped collages using images taken from elsewhere. He doesn't seem to attribute sources properly, and that's rather dumb, but the article here is implying that he claimed this image

Reading the source links paints a slightly different (though still hilarious) picture of what happened.

    Well, that and the ego.

"Here's what I think of your white knight."

My most anticipated 3DS game. I sure hope they release it in time for Halloween.

No thanks. It's better than their current Pro or Core controller, sure, but if we're gonna go Gamecube, I want the awesome oversized A button with the shaped X/Y/B around it. Seriously, that was my favorite part. Every button felt different and was immediately intuitive to map to on-screen prompts. Just 4 identical

Tether a Wii U to each of them and you've saved Nintendo's slow presser. Or, I don't know, just have the Wii U rise out of a pedestal surrounded by smoke. They actually did these things for the 3DS reveal. For Wii U... it was all a bit understated.
