I’ve got RoboCop and First Born down, but outside of that and maybe a horror flick I can’t name? I can’t think of anything he’s in. However, I can do Buckaroo Banzai! 

I should state unequivocally that I care about both John Carpenter and his movie. Also, The Thing. Also, Halloween. Also, Prince of Darkness (which I actually did see in the theater). I could go on, but seeing as he’s probably busy playing his vidya games, I doubt he’s reading this.

Delving through the gif selection alone had me grinning. And, your definition of success is the exact same as mine.

My 500+ cable viewings didn’t do the trick, so your contribution is very much appreciated.  

Sadly, my enduring love for it doesn’t translate into sweet cash money, but if it did? It would be one of the most successful films to date.

And even Carpenter isn’t sure why you’d want to remake/reboot/continue Big Trouble, especially since it didn’t exactly set the box office on fire back in 1986: “That movie wasn’t a success.”

I had no idea Three’s Company was a remake! My excuse for not knowing is I was a child when I watched its original airing.

To be fair to you, Matt Dillon in his younger years was pretty similar looking to Michael Schoeffling, minis Michael Schoeffling’s very silly hair in Sixteen Candles.

I’m not sure. I never got the impression that Claire ended up with Bender.

I won’t have a chance to read all the comments until lunch, but I hope someone addressed the amazing soundtrack of Pretty in Pink. Sixteen Candles also had a great soundtrack, but Pretty in Pink was far superior and it introduced me to a song that it still one of my favorites all these years later.

Sam Rockwell is sweet, sweet music to my ears.  It’s on the short list now!  

I haven’t seen The Way Way Back, but now I will be sure to do so. I had forgotten about Crazy, Stupid, Love.

I thought he did very well in both Foxcatcher and Little Miss Sunshine.

The Rose Gold and Fire Opal shades are EVERYTHING! I can’t afford it now, but it’s going on my Christmas list.
