I though the first Matrix was polished cheese, but not good cheese. So I got off the bus early. But then I couldn't take my eyes off Speed Racer. Previews made this look like good cheese but no luck eh? Almost went to see it. Anyway, it takes more than great art direction, cough George Lucas cough.
"Maribeth Monroe is a great actress who deserves a better role…"
Well, maybe she'll get one, but for now, she's part of an ensemble and playing the part as it was written. Strikes me as…um…a really STUPID criticism.
I'm obviously not as tragically sophisticated as our reviewer, i'm just a dumb guy in a flyover state. But fucking A is this a fun show. I just wish the episodes ran an hour instead of a half.

I won't ever watch another Kurosawa film, he's too Japanese and too dead.
Super duper!
She has a certain Maude Lebowski quality. Fuckin' a.
"But please do not ever come to the south we do not tolerate ignorance." That's golden.
Better than House of Cards.
OK then. Please explain it.
If only CSI would show their cops having inexplicable visions, that would make that show super-awesome!
I guess I look at the work as a whole. It needs to work front-to-back to be great, for me.
The shootout at the end - really lame. Could have been from any generic tv cop show.
The first season was interesting and fun to an extent, but it wilted at the end. Let's not pretend it was something that it wasn't. I'd give season one a C at best.
Tonight on 'It's the Mind', we examine the phenomenon of deja vu.
Agreed.
