The only reason I got a custom plate was so I didn’t have to memorize a random string. I actually wanted something that would appear to be a random string, but would be more memorable... but the DMV doesn’t allow custom plates that match the patterns used for auto-generated plates. Go figure.
I see bumper stickers as just another customization. Obviously the designers spent a lot of time making sure the factory radio fit the car just right, (unless you own a Mercedes-Benz where they just slap the screen on top), so how DARE you improve the quality of your sound by swapping it or its speakers out! ...just…
This is still showing up in searches, but I believe it’s inaccurate. Where in Iowa code 321 do you believe there’s a law about this?
Ford is onto this line of thinking. Integrated very convex mirrors in the “corner” of the flat mirrors in most (all?) of their cars.
Forget about checking blind spots, I’d be happy if people checked their mirrors! Many times I can either see the driver’s face in their mirror, or I can see the little orange triangle in their mirror lit up. But they still coming into my lane (with or without signal) until my horn corrects their course.
If it comes up with updates every day, chances are they’ve never been installed properly, or it needed a reboot to apply, which was never done. Perhaps it’s time to move OSes?
#7 shouldn’t be listed, or should be listed with a disclaimer that there’s no user-accessible local storage, as the titular mention of “USB Drive” would imply - ESPECIALLY when you then call it a “memory stick”!
Then again... you hear a big *whoosh* and see a massive chunk of something coming right for you, perhaps you perform corrective actions to avoid making contact with said massive chunk of something?
Yeah, it lets you do it, but it’s different from the assistive technologies loophole, I think.
Why 10.7, of all things??
Why not take a fact-based engineering- and physics-centric approach, instead of these so-called “opinions”?
It would be really nice to see all these streaming services care more about concurrent IP addresses streaming, and not concurrent streams. Limit it to 5 IP addresses streaming concurrently, and you’re probably fine. But a large family if in the modern age where everyone age 6 and up has their own computing device of…
Anyone that needs a site like Security Planner to know what to do, won’t use any of the features that justify the $40 price tag - BUT there are plenty of sub-$20 U2F keys (including one from Yubico!) that do the same thing for account security, just without ah the extra features of the Yubikey 4.
I’d be very interested in your methods for making these images. Is there a built-in tool in Photoshop that does it or something?
The US versions aren’t symmetrical... perhaps Daimler needs to dumb it down across the board? Curious how long before someone tries to gas up one of the electric units... Instead of getting ICE’d, it’d be getting comBUSTED.
What *are* your wants for your house?
$35 is still quite a bit. Once it gets down to $5, these sorts of buttons will be useful. In the meantime, I’ll stick with using Amazon Dash buttons for this sort of thing (which often go on sale for $1 each on Prime Day). A little extra legwork, a lot less money. Just $6 for my current setup, versus $210 if I were to…
If you need someplace cheap with a garage big enough for a few Smart cars, there are plenty of places like that here in the middle of some Iowa suburbs!
Yikes! I’ve had a couple minor issues, but nothing major/mechanical. Then again, I got it at ~4k miles (“certified pre-owned”) with a warranty. It had only been titled to the dealership, I think it was one of the cars for their employees to use as they went on errands.
I also have a habit of keeping two fire…
I actually have more questions about this than the electric Smart Cars, as I’m seriously considering an engine swap for my 2015 Smart sometime in the next 5 years.
