I guess it’s the lack of punctuation between the words that makes it seem more like laughter. If it was “Huurrr...Hurrr...Hurrr” I could imagine the space between, but I can’t stop myself as it is from reading it like someone just laughing goofily, “a hurr hurr hrurrrrrrrr”.

Some people might say this is above average Frank Miller dialogue. Some people might suggest it’s more coherent, less full of misogyny, racism, and general crazy. That’s what some people might say about that page.

Can’t do it, just can’t. I can’t take Frank Miller any more, this had me interested as it led into the Dark Knight which I loved as a kid but reading this over and especially that “OK I’ll put the costume on” followed by the creepy smirk it was just too much. I’m not going to hold it against people who enjoy these

Most the content in FFXIV is really easy actually. The only two tiers of content that actually ask much from players are the Extreme trials and the Hard-Core eight man raids.

There’s a reason why I’m thankful that the hardcore raids in Final Fantasy XIV are only eight man. Even getting eight people together on a regular basis can be an exercise in frustration. XD

Anybody who thinks we’re anywhere close to creating a machine that can “out-think” a human, or that computers are “faster” than human brains, should be made to sit down and watch someone playing Devil Daggers.

Conscious human thought may be sluggish, but the moment somebody enters “the zone”, and relaxes a little...

Massive Attack, still making me love them.

I would argue that most pranks if not all fall under “being an asshole”.

Can we stop calling this a “prank”? Because it’s not a prank, any more than running up to someone and kicking them in the nuts is a prank. It’s being an asshole.

Says who? It’s $18 for the experience. The industry lately revolves around “how many hours”, Should I make a list of $20 games that have “well over 40 hours of gameplay” and most of that is filler or grinding or non memory forming?

I don’t mind the price tag, personally. And that’s from someone who’s pinching every penny. I’ve heard it’s a great story experience, and people pay $30 for a 1.5 hour story all the time (BluRay movies).

Think of it this way... $18 for a game they put their heart and soul into which came out great, is better than spending $60 for rehashed CoD/Battlefield. Another way I see it is spending $18 for movie ticket for on average 1.5 hours of entertainment. The difference is that you can go back and play Firewatch over and

Gamers need to stop looking at money/hours comparisons. A $20, 3 hour, genuinely good game is a better value than a $20, 20 hour time waster of a a game, which is a lot of campaigns out there. I would much rather drop $20 on something that’s memorable like Firewatch or Gone Home than $20 on a mediocre shooter that I

That post got my eyes watery.

Try thinking of it like going to an upscale restaurant rather than a fast food chain. You’re paying for the quality of the experience, not the quantity of food or the time it takes.

I like to use Portal/ Portal 2 as the measure. Portal 1 was bundled with Half-Life 2 Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2. Split that initial price tag evenly, you have maybe $16 to $20 for a game that was... probably 3 hours on the first playthrough, 1 hour if you know it like the back of your hand.

People spend $18 for a 2 hour movie...why is $18 for a 3 hour game expensive?

For me, it is less about the time I put into the game and more about my enjoyment. It seems pretty narrow to say 2 - 3 hours of gameplay is not worth x amount of money even if you loved the game. Does that mean a developer that makes a game that you can play for a hundred hours should charge more than 60 dollars? For

I know everyone has been poking at the 2-4 hour play through on this game, but am I the only one who felt it was worth a second, if not more, play through? I enjoyed the hell out of it so much that I played it again just to hear some of the different dialogue responses. And I’m just now discovering that there were

I think some people get too focused on how long it takes to play a game. If its an enjoyable, well-polished experience, then I think it can be forgiven if the title isn’t as long as you’d have hoped. After all, all movies cost the same amount on opening day, regardless of how long they keep you in the theater.

Obviously
