I live in San Antonio and you are obviously from the north so ill explain this the best way I can. First, not all roadkill is squirrels, rabbit, and skunk. I imagine hundreds of people hit deer on the road here daily since they are very much a nuisance and why let that meat go to waste if it has not been damaged?

Quit bagging on the photoshop. That's not a bad shop and I'll leap to defend the graphic designer. The shot works for the size its meant to be displayed. People use photoshop all the time for everything, and there's nothing really disingenuous about it.
