Yeah Nick Offerman was perfect casting here.

I seriously wish our side would be more pragmatic about this stuff. The dopamine hit you get from shitting on folk who’ve done nothing, even if you can come up with an argument why it’s technically ok, isn’t worth it.
I liked the first one a lot. Always annoyed me when people would say there were no good game adaptation films after it was released.
Using AI to make your muscles look better is totally gonna be a thing, why not eye ones too!
Top-notch frame selection for that header image.
You defo read the responses, you’re just a coward who decided to preempt your lack of reply 😊
“ defending against waves of infinitely respawning hordes of counter-terrorists. These enemies only used melee attacks”
I remember playing this on Condition Zero back in the day! Interesting to hear what it eventually became.
I like the Alexander Forssberg one.
Even in a non-pro unpaid capacity, folk like to do that stuff. They get fullfillment from it. They like to contribute, and often yes get validation from others’ enjoyment/consumption.
I think it’s because a lot of folk have an idea of game-artist as one of the jobs out there that’s potentially quite cool and fulfilling (regardless of the reality). So the reality that it will eventually be automated is more depressing than burger-flipping or office work being done away with.
Maybe aimed at clueless relatives looking to grab a present for a girl they know, and have a vague memory of girls liking this kind of thing.
Digital art has made the process more forgiving. But the basic process of the artist directly inputing 99% of the visuals with their careful hand-movements and making thousands of minute decisions was the same as before. Some blurring at the edges depending on how much they over-relied on filters and certain PS tools,…
Losing is fun!
What did you think it was?
This is how I understand it. Redistributing someone elses ’s game assets is essentially piracy-by-piecemeal. It’s why you’re technically not allowed to rip a bunch of skyrim meshes to make total-war mods.
“has already started working on non-Snoot projects.”
There was a bit where you read a book or something and your guy just starts smashing his head off the floor. A few bits like that were really freaky.
Yeah idk why this seems to have been glossed over. Maybe the trend has evolved, but at one point it definitely was centred around the right wing dehumanising folk they disagreed with.
Now I want to see Trevor vs Adrian Pimento.
Yup. Especially as internal dev chat will have high proportion of bug/issue videos. You’re generally not sending a clip to say “this is still working as intended”.
