I agree it sucks that in an unequal dynamic, the people with greater power only tend to (voluntarily) change when their self-interest is appealed to. :/ But that’s a really deep-seated part of human nature that I don’t think we have the agency to change, at least not quickly.

I’ve actually found this to be a real time saver in my life since 2016. A Trump sign, MAGA hat, or “all lives matter” social media post instantly tells me everything I need to know about a person, right off the bat!

That creeped the hell out of me. He lies so often, why couldn’t he manage to there? Something like, “Why yes of course I denounce racists!” We would know he was lying, but still. And he wouldn’t alienate his base because they’re stupid.
