“I remain Catholic and my husband and I are sending our children to Catholic school,”
What does this mean for Clover?
Still bitter about that, huh?
Lucas is a horrible liar. I have the original trilogy (pre-CGI) on VHS and there are these interviews with Leonard Maltin. In these interviews he states how he didn’t map out the back story of Star Wars, which he probably didn’t. That’s why Episodes 1-3 suck.
That was kind of the point of the whole story. The futility of conflict, that neither side was really the “good guys”, that the only good people were the common people fighting and being killed. There is a lot in there about the trauma of war.
Yep, it’s like that in the book. It’s a different and brutal ending, but it’s a lot more realistic than the good guys win and everyone lives happily ever after. I hated it when I read the book, but now it feels like it makes sense.

I don’t disagree that the 2-part finale trend is tiresome, but Ill take mature, thought provoking filler over empty action filler, myself.
Most people who go to war want to end up as bored civilians. War: it’s not fun. Being battle-hardened is probably not that healthy. (Beats being dead, but that’s about all I can say about it that’s good.)
Horrifying. But I think I’ve found all covers of it to be Glee-ish.
I’m pretty sure George Michael covers don’t need any more tenor sax.
This is it. This is how the Holocaust started. The rhetoric is startlingly familiar if you’ve studied Hitler’s rise and the anti-Jewish propoganda used there and even here before we finally got involved. Trump and Carson and the rest of them aren’t funny anymore. It’s scary and people need to start calling this shit…
What’s positive about anything Carson or Trump have done or said?
*fart noise*
I can admire deeply held and sincere beliefs, but when people think that those beliefs should extend to everyone and become public policy...I find that very hard to admire.
Pro-traditional families can mean anti-gay. It can also mean anti-contraceptive and anti-divorce. It’s a scary loaded term! Agree with you- not feeling the love AT ALL.
Ok, so your political views align - aside from the part where your fellow Republicans, at best, would have you publicly marked and, at worst, would simply shoot where you stand?
We have so much more in common with Republicans. We have conservative values: pro-life, in favor of traditional families.
I’m not really down with championing anyone who is actively promoting an an anti-choice agenda as a “hero,” no matter what their religious beliefs.
As someone who recently finished a one month rotation at a teaching hospital for OB, I have to strongly disagree with many of the author’s assertions. I think the assumption that most physicians practice in the manner in which the author describes are inaccurate and I question what evidence the author had in making…
