It went way too steampunk and was badly miscast.

I did recently reread Murder on the Orient Express and there were some terms there that clearly wouldn’t be used today.  I don’t think tidying these up would make any different at all in the narrative, but reasonable minds could differ I suppose.

Talk about a missed opportunity.  That was some great IP that just went totally to waste.

With a trip to the movies costing what it does, I think there’s pressure to make the audience feel like they got enough film for the money.

They just need to stop making these.

I guess getting Zava is good enough is Xenu isn’t available.

He seems to put up with that American shit on McDonalds commercials.

Could Rupert’s office look any more like a villain’s lair?”

Angela Bassett wasn’t that great in Wakanda Forever, which wasn’t a particularly good movie even by Marvel standards, let alone Oscar standards. Bassett’s performance wasn’t the best in its own movie, so it can’t be the best in any movie.  Her performance was basically just glowering and being loud.

If anything, the other opponents—all of which look like Hickory—often show how petty people can be.  The first half of the movie is

Wakanda Forever isn’t a great Marvel movie, let alone Oscar worthy.

Popeye has its moments, and the music’s actually pretty good. The film falls apart in the third act, IMO.

I see what you did there.

That stair scene is fantastic

But if AI takes over corporate CEO jobs, how will we overcompensate them?
