I always thought she and Ernest Borgnine were an unusual pairing in The Poseidon Adventure.

Do we need a second Joker movie? Joker is a film that critics ten years from now will look back and wonder, “what the hell did I ever see in this?”

Yes, but I can understand why most people don’t.

The biggest problem with Any Given Sunday is that it can’t decide whether it wants to criticize professional football or celebrate it.

Definitely not a football movie.

Fees like a list made by people who aren’t all that into sports movies.

Rudy is arguable, but Necessary Roughness isn’t a particularly good movie.

Which was a great show.  Not sure why it only lasted one real season.

Which is saying something, since Grace Jones was mostly famous for being famous, like a disco Kardashian.

In Maverick, the role focuses on aging in a way that’s not frequently at issue in Tom Cruise movies.  I think he turns in a strong performance as a person who still has it, but knows he’s not going to have it much

I feel like his best shot was Rain Man; the movie is really about the change in Tom Cruise’s character. I feel like his role in Magnolia was almost a caricature—it certainly seems that way in retrospect.
