I think facilitated communication causes desperate people with good intentions do very strange things and I believe there are many families you still use it to talk to their non verbal sons/daughters would not put view this as a straight forward rape case.

This is why I find the case so compelling. I’m not sure Stubblefield is as cynical as others might assume given how steadfastly those families who use FC insists it works even in the face of substantial evidence to the contrary.
